Am I entitled to any allowances while attending a full-time training course?
Participants on full-time courses may be eligible for different allowances. These include training, travel and accommodation allowances. The training allowance is not paid in addition to your social welfare payment but is substituted for it while you are participating on a full-time course. Please refer to the following links for details of these allowances: Training, Travel, Accommodation and Meals. It is important to read the ‘notes’ sections under each of the allowances for conditions/applications. Accommodation allowances are subject to approval from the training centre manager.
What are the entry requirements for the courses?
Course entry requirements vary from course to course depending on the type of course and level of certification on offer. The individual course profiles list the entry requirements for each course. Refer to the course profiles on this website.
How much do the full-time courses cost?
