Kerry ETB Training Centre is recruiting for the Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician Course (TR36R).


The course is designed to provide the wind turbine industry with personnel who have the knowledge, skills and competencies to undertake a range of tasks associated with the maintenance of large scale commercial wind turbines.  Participants will develop the practical and technical skills needed to carry out planned and unplanned maintenance on the electrical, mechanical, gearbox and hydraulic systems of wind turbines. They will also learn how to work independently and in teams, climb, work at heights and carry out rescue at heights. Recruitment for the next course is due to commence shortly.  It’s a full-time course consisting of 26 week off-the-job and 10 weeks work-based training.  Applicants must hold a National Craft Certificate or equivalent qualification in an electrical or mechanical trade and ideally have a number of years post apprenticeship experience.  See the video about the course on our Facebook page.


Certification: City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering Wind Turbine Operations & Maintenance (2339-18/53).

Start Date: 2nd Quarter of 2016.

Duration: 37 Weeks.

Hours: 8:30 am to 3:45 pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30 am to 12:45 pm on Friday.
